Gallidermin (expressed in Staphylococcus
gallinarum) is an anti-infectivum useful for the topical
treatment of skin infections like acne and mastitis, skin or mucus
colonisation with pathogens, or therapy of recalcitrant infectious
agents in endocarditis and urinary tract infections. The special
advantage of Gallidermin lies in its bactericidal activity and
ability to act against resting bacteria, thus making Gallidermin
a promising alternative antibiotic.
